Allen Huntspon is a two-time Emmy®-nominated Executive Producer and Director, and a two-time Peabody Award-winning journalist recognized for overseeing premium, large-scale productions across streaming, digital, and cable for global media companies. He is best known for directing Street Somm (2024), the Daytime Emmy® and James Beard-nominated television series, and for his tenure at CNN as a lead writer-producer.
Allen’s career was shaped at CNN, where he progressed across three of the network’s most influential divisions. He began at the iconic Larry King Live, curating live-broadcast content and managing music clearances with BMI and ASCAP, before moving into CNN’s award-winning documentary unit, where he produced multiple films for CNN Presents, including the landmark Black in America. He later joined CNN Newsroom as a lead writer-producer, where he co-created Education Makeover, the network’s first original reality format, and scripted live global coverage for CNN’s flagship anchors during defining moments in modern history, including the national reckoning following the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Tamir Rice.
After CNN, Allen joined VICE Media as a Director, helping launch the VICELAND television channel. He later led branded entertainment at ATTN:, where he developed premium, social-impact–driven nonfiction content for major brand partners. His work included co-directing Finding Home in America, a Streamy-nominated docuseries for Zillow exploring the U.S. housing crisis; producing cause-based campaigns with Lyft and Wieden+Kennedy that raised funds for nonprofits; and directing a Shorty Social Good Award–winning Alzheimer’s awareness campaign with CAA. He has also served as a Supervising Producer on multiple YouTube Originals, including Issa Rae’s Bear Witness Take Action 3 and Tastemade Studios’ A New Green Book.
Allen’s work has earned Emmy® recognition and honors from leading media and cultural institutions, including the Global Entertainment Marketing Academy, the New York Association of Black Journalists, the News & Documentary Emmy® Awards, the GLAAD Media Awards, and Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Foundation.

With deep expertise in budget management, scheduling, crew oversight, and creative alignment, she has delivered high-impact content for premier brands and networks including the Bravo, Showtime, Condé Nast, Discovery Studios, Sundance Film Festival, T-Mobile, and UNICEF.
Marina brings operational rigor and strategic foresight to every phase of production, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution without compromising creative vision. Her leadership has supported standout campaigns and original content for titles like Vogue, Teen Vogue, Architectural Digest, and Bon Appétit, while her consulting work has guided narrative and production strategy for clients such as ATTN:, the AFI Film Festival, Motrin, and Johnson & Johnson. Known for her collaborative approach and precision under pressure, Marina is a trusted production executive who drives efficiency, scale, and excellence across the media landscape.
